Helping Customers Embrace the Future of Energy
As utilities across the country modernize the electric grid, technology alone is not enough. Success depends on helping customers understand – and adopt – new ways of generating, storing, and managing energy. For more than a decade, Agenda has partnered with Vermont’s Green Mountain Power (GMP) to support that transformation through strategic communications and multi-media campaigns designed to build awareness, encourage participation, and strengthen customer engagement.

Since 2012, Agenda has developed and executed more than 32 integrated communications campaigns for GMP – promoting innovative products and services, including home battery storage, heat pumps, energy management technologies, and other programs that improve reliability, reduce costs, and lower carbon emissions. Together, those campaigns generated more than 250 million impressions, helping communicate one of the nation's most ambitious utility modernization initiatives. During this period, GMP earned national recognition from TIME and Fast Company for its pioneering work in grid resilience, distributed energy resources, and customer-focused innovation.
Over a partnership spanning more than 14 years, Agenda helped translate complex energy concepts into clear, accessible communications that resonated with customers across Vermont's urban and rural communities. The engagement demonstrates how sustained strategic communications can support organizational transformation by helping people understand – and participate in – the future of energy.
